Spritz Cookies

These light butter cookies are a holiday classic in our house! Get out the cookie press and throw just a few ingredients together and you are left with these adorable, festive cookies.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • colored sprinkles for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream butter and sugar.
  • Add in egg and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
  • Add in flour ½-1 cup at a time. Mix after each addition.
  • Prepare cookie press, fitting it with your desired cookie shape.
  • Add room temperature dough to cookie press and press cookies on to a non-greased cookie sheet.
  • Top cookies with colored sprinkles.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until bottoms just begin to brown.
  • Remove from oven and move cookies to a cooling rack.
