Oreo Truffles

Need an idea for a New Year's Eve dessert? Try these super easy but rich and delicious Oreo Truffles! The truffle itself contains just TWO ingredients (can you believe it?!) and then you can coat them in any chocolate of your choosing.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 package Double-Stuffed Oreo's 15.35 oz, finely chopped
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened

Chocolate Coating

  • cups dark chocolate chips melted
  • additional sprinkles for decorating if desired

Instructions
 

  • Remove cream filling from an entire package of Double-Stuffed Oreo's and set aside.
  • Slice 8 ounces of softened cream cheese into 1-2 inch squares. Set aside.
  • Use a blender, food processor or rolling pin to finely crush the Oreo cookies (with cream filling removed).
  • Combine crushed Oreo's, cream filling and softened/cubed cream cheese in a medium to large mixing bowl using a fork or your hands. Mix until well combined.
  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Roll the Oreo mixture into ¾-1 inch balls and place on prepared cookie sheet. Freeze for at least 1 hour.
  • Prepare your chocolate coating of choice. Melt using microwave or double boiler.
  • Dip frozen Oreo balls into melted chocolate and place back on parchment paper to dry. Immediately top with sprinkles if desired.
  • Allow chocolate to set in the freezer or refrigerator, then serve.
